Your first visit
What to expect
A first visit here is usually a dry eye evaluation. It takes about an hour. A doctor goes through your history, runs the tests and tells you what they show before you leave.
Forms are filled in on the practice's own patient portal before you come. You can also fill them in at the front desk.
On the day
What to bring
Your glasses and lenses
Your glasses, your contact lenses and case, and your last prescription if you have it.
What you use
A list of the eye drops, medicines and supplements you take.
Your cards
Your photo ID, vision plan card and medical insurance card.
Your referral
If another doctor sent you, bring anything they gave you. We do not require it.
Billing
How the first visit is billed
A dry eye evaluation is usually billed to medical insurance, and a routine exam to a vision plan. If you pay yourself, you get a good faith estimate in writing before the visit.
