Contact lenses
Lenses that are comfortable when your eyes run dry
Contact lenses can feel worse when the tear film is thin. We test the tears first, then fit lenses to the eyes you have.
Your prescription is yours. When the fitting is done, we give you a copy of your contact lens prescription, and you can fill it anywhere.

The fitting
Three visits at most for most people
- 01
Step 1: The exam and measurements
Your eyes are measured and the tears are checked, so the doctor can choose a lens type.
- 02
Step 2: Trial lenses
You wear a pair for a while. The assistant shows you how to put them in, take them out and clean them.
- 03
Step 3: A check on the fit
The doctor looks at how the lenses sit and how your eyes feel, then adjusts if needed and writes the prescription.
Good to know
Billing and what to bring
Billing
A contact lens exam and fitting is billed to a vision plan. A visit about dry eye is billed to medical insurance.
What to bring
Your glasses, your current lenses and case, and your last contact lens prescription if you have it.
Care
Lenses are not worn while an eye is red or sore. Call us if that happens.
